Epic_Disk3 is one of those Amiga games that sticks with you—mostly because of how gorgeous it was for its time. You’re leading humanity’s last fleet after the sun decides to call it quits, and of course, the only escape route is through Rexxon territory. (Because space is never easy.)
It’s a shooter, but with these weirdly cool planet-side missions that break up the action. The levels are short—just nine total—but every one feels like a mini sci-fi movie, packed with cutscenes set to Holst’s Planet Suite. The music alone makes it feel epic, even if you blast through it in an afternoon.
Honestly, it’s more of a vibe than a challenge. But if you’re into that late-’80s, pixel-perfect space opera aesthetic, it’s hard to top.
