Epic_Disk2 is one of those Amiga games that made you feel like you were playing through a sci-fi movie. Humanity’s packing into ships to escape a dying sun, but of course, the route’s blocked by these aggressive aliens called the Rexxons—classic space drama. You’re piloting through asteroid fields and dogfights, then suddenly dropping onto planets for ground missions, which keeps things from getting repetitive.

The graphics were seriously impressive back then—smooth animations, detailed ships, and these moody cutscenes set to Holst’s Planet Suite (which somehow makes everything feel grander). Only downside? It’s over way too fast—just nine levels. But for those few hours, it’s pure late-'80s space opera bliss.
