Epic Pinball was my go-to time-killer back in the DOS days. You get these wild, scrolling tables where the ball zips around faster than you'd expect—sometimes I swear it had a mind of its own. The Android table (the one everyone got as shareware) had this cool sci-fi vibe with ramps that felt impossible to hit at first, until you got the timing down.
What I loved was how each table had its own personality. One minute you're bouncing a ball through some haunted castle, the next you're hitting targets on a pirate ship. The four-flipper tables were chaos, but the good kind—like when you'd finally pull off a combo and the score just kept climbing. The graphics were pure '90s, all chunky pixels and bright colors, but they nailed that satisfying pinball feel.
It's one of those games where you'd start with "just one game" and suddenly realize an hour had vanished. Still holds up if you're into that old-school, no-frills pinball vibe.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
