Game Overview

Metroid Prime Pinball takes Samus’ sci-fi world and slams it straight into pinball chaos—and somehow, it totally works. You’re bouncing the morph ball across tables packed with Metroids, space pirates, and those weird floating jellyfish things from the main games. The physics feel satisfyingly weighty, and hitting a perfect ramp shot to trigger a boss fight against Ridley never gets old.

What surprised me was how much it actually feels like Metroid. The music’s all eerie synth, the tables have hidden paths that unlock upgrades, and there’s even a weirdly tense escape sequence where you’re rolling toward your ship as the timer counts down. It’s not just pinball with a Metroid skin—they went all in.

Fair warning: the DS’s small screen makes some shots harder to track, but the rumble pack (remember those?) adds a nice crunch when you nail a combo. If you’ve ever wanted to fight Kraid via flipper skills, this is your chance.
