Okay, so Pinball Quest on NES is... weird, but in a good way. It calls itself a pinball RPG, but don't expect level-ups or dialogue choices—you mostly just earn gold to upgrade your flippers and buy stoppers. The main attraction is the RPG mode with six sprawling pinball tables where you're bouncing the ball to fight enemies, hunt for keys, and yeah, rescue some princess (because of course).
But here's the thing—there are three other totally random modes. POP!POP! is sports-themed, Viva Golf is... golf (shocking), and Circus mode goes full carnival chaos with a slot machine and a bonus game where you hurl balls at animals chasing a girl. It's bizarre, but somehow it works. The tables are way more elaborate than your standard pinball game, and half the fun is seeing what ridiculous theme they'll throw at you next.
