Game Overview
Pinball Quest on the NES is weird in the best way possible. Instead of just bouncing a silver ball between bumpers, you're suddenly fighting monsters, dodging traps, and even taking on boss battles—all while still playing pinball. The first table I tried had me knocking down skeletons in some haunted castle, and I was hooked immediately.
Each table feels like its own little adventure, with weird Japanese RPG flavor text popping up between rounds. The physics are janky in that classic NES way, but once you get used to the exaggerated nudges, there's something oddly satisfying about lining up a perfect shot to slay a dragon or whatever. Definitely not what I expected from an 8-bit pinball game.
If you've played enough standard pinball sims and want something with actual personality, this one's worth digging up.
