Epic_Disk2 came out for the Amiga in 1992, published by Ocean Software and developed by Imagineer. It was part of that wave of ambitious space games that tried to blend strategy with action, a common theme on the platform back then. You don't see many titles that attempt this kind of hybrid approach anymore.
You command a fleet of ships, moving between star systems and engaging in tactical combat against alien forces. The main goal is to complete nine levels of missions, which involve both space battles and planetary assaults. You manage your ships' resources, plan your routes, and jump into real-time fights when enemies appear. The pacing is deliberate, with moments of quiet planning suddenly broken by intense skirmishes. It feels like you're actually coordinating a military campaign from the bridge of a flagship.
