ESWAT on the Genesis throws you into a futuristic city crawling with criminals—except these aren’t your usual bank robbers. You start as a regular beat cop with just a pistol and some quick reflexes, but after a couple of levels, things escalate fast. Suddenly, you’re suiting up in this bulky cyber armor that makes you feel like a walking tank, blasting through soldiers and robots instead of street thugs.

It’s not your typical arcade port, either. The levels have these weird platforming bits mixed in, and the whole vibe shifts from gritty cop drama to sci-fi chaos. The first time I got the ESWAT armor, I just stood there for a second admiring how ridiculously overpowered it felt compared to my dinky little handgun. The enemies don’t stand a chance.

Fair warning: that first level without the armor? Way harder than it looks. You’ll be dodging bullets like your life depends on it—because in this city, it kinda does.
