Play City Connection Online

You’re a tiny car painting roads while dodging cop formations—jumps feel floaty, and one wrong pivot sends you tumbling. That weirdly catchy music sticks in your head as the platforms start crumbling under you.

Game Overview

City Connection came out on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1985, developed and published by Jaleco. It was one of those early NES titles that felt a little offbeat, not quite fitting the platformer or shooter mold that was common at the time. You don't see many games built around a car that just wants to paint the road.

You control a small, nimble car, moving screen by screen across a world map. Your goal is to cover every section of the road in paint while avoiding police cars and obstacles. The main mechanics involve jumping between platforms and ledges, sometimes bouncing off oil cans to change direction or gain height. The pacing is relentless; enemies respawn quickly, and mistiming a jump often means falling and losing a life. It feels like a tense, slightly chaotic puzzle where every move has to be deliberate.
