Game Overview

Dinosaurs – Dino City is one of those weird, wonderful SNES games that somehow slipped under the radar. You play as a tiny dinosaur—yes, the hero is a dino, not some boring caveman—and your job is to rescue kids kidnapped by a tribe of weirdly aggressive humans. It’s like someone mashed up a Saturday morning cartoon with a platformer and then tossed in a bunch of ridiculous power-ups. Fire breath? Check. A boomerang made of bones? Obviously.

The controls are surprisingly smooth for a game this old, and the co-op mode is chaotic in the best way possible. One minute you’re stomping enemies, the next you’re awkwardly riding a pterodactyl across a lava-filled canyon. The volcano levels are absolute nonsense (in a good way), and the whole thing has this goofy charm that makes it hard to put down. If you ever stumble across a copy, grab a friend and give it a shot—just don’t blame me when you get obsessed with the tail-whip attack.
