Game Overview
Ah, Evolution—that old MS-DOS game where you get to tinker with life itself. You start as a wobbly little blob in some ancient ocean, and suddenly you're deciding whether to grow legs, armor, or maybe even venomous spikes. I always got way too attached to my creatures, especially when they'd get wiped out by some random ice age because I spent too many turns optimizing their camouflage instead of, y'know, surviving.
The graphics are about as fancy as you'd expect from the era (read: not at all), but there's something weirdly satisfying about watching your mutant abomination slowly take over the food chain. Sometimes you'll nail the perfect combo of traits and steamroll everything; other times you'll realize too late that giving your carnivore photosynthesis was a terrible idea. It's the kind of game where you'll lose an hour without noticing because you have to see if adding wings finally makes your creation unstoppable.
Honestly, it's still more fun than it has any right to be.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
