Game Overview
Executive Suite is this weirdly addictive MS-DOS office simulator where you basically play corporate ladder roulette. You start by filling out this absurdly detailed job application—where you went to school, your personality type, even your favorite sport (apparently crucial for climbing the ranks at MMC). Mess up your education stats, and you’re stuck in the mailroom; nail it, and you might start as a junior engineer.
The whole game revolves around applying for internal promotions every few years, which feels like throwing darts blindfolded. Your past performance, the economy’s mood swings, and whether you accidentally slept with the wrong coworker all determine if you get that sweet VP title or get demoted back to filing paperwork. The scenarios are hilarious—you’ll be deciding whether to cover for a lazy coworker or rat them out, all while collecting reputation points like "chronic slacker" or "corporate bootlicker."
Some choices barely matter, others get you fired instantly ("Hit the road, jack" appears in glorious 80s text). If you somehow survive decades of office politics without getting axed, you might finally become President… assuming the board doesn’t remember that time you tanked an entire department. The payoff? A nameplate change and a final score that basically tells you how much you sold your soul for. It’s brutal, janky, and weirdly compelling.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
