Play F-1 Grand Prix - Part III (Japan) Online

Tight corners and sudden elevation changes keep you on edge—brake too late and you're in the wall, but nailing a perfect lap feels like pure '90s F1 magic. The AI doesn't mess around either, actually defending their lines when you get aggressive.

Game Overview

F-1 Grand Prix Part III is one of those SNES racers that flew under the radar outside Japan, which is a shame because it’s way more polished than you’d expect. The tracks have this weirdly satisfying flow to them—tight corners, sudden elevation changes, and just enough detail in the scenery to make it feel alive. Not gonna lie, the first time I spun out on the hairpin turn, I was hooked.

It’s got that early ‘90s F1 vibe with all the official teams and liveries, though the handling takes some getting used to. Brake too late and you’re kissing the barrier, but nail a perfect lap and it feels like magic. The AI isn’t pushover either—they’ll actually block you if you try to dive bomb every corner.

Definitely one of the better F1 games on the SNES, even if it never made it overseas.
