Game Overview

F-19 Stealth Fighter is one of those old-school flight sims that somehow makes staring at radar blips and adjusting your RCS signature tense. You pick a pilot (RIP my first guy, shot down over Libya), load up on missiles or bombs depending on the mission, and then it’s just you, the dark sky, and Soviet radars pinging away. The second they get a solid lock, everything goes to hell—SAMs start flying, MiGs scramble, and suddenly you’re jinking through missile trails hoping your chaff does the job.

What’s wild is how alive the world feels for a 1988 game. Fly too close to a neutral country? They’ll send fighters to warn you off. Get shot down behind enemy lines? Next thing you know, there’s a newspaper headline gloating about your capture. The permadeath for pilots adds real weight—losing a veteran you’ve dragged through 10 missions hurts way more than it should. Just don’t expect pretty graphics; half the time you’re squinting at jagged terrain grids and blobby enemy dots. But when you nail a perfect stealth run, slipping past defenses undetected? Pure satisfaction.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
