Ever played FaceTrex? It’s one of those MS-DOS games that somehow sticks with you—like that one song from a cassette tape you found in your uncle’s attic. You’re this tiny, blocky guy (or maybe a girl? Hard to tell with the pixels) running and jumping across chasms, dodging spikes, and probably swearing under your breath when you mistime a leap. Again.
It’s not flashy, but that’s the point. The controls are simple—left, right, jump—but the levels? Brutal in that way only old-school platformers can be. You’ll die a lot, but each run feels fair, like the game’s nudging you to get just a little better. And when you finally nail that tricky section? Pure satisfaction.
If you miss the days when games didn’t hold your hand, this one’s a time capsule. Just don’t blame me when you realize you’ve been hunched over your keyboard for an hour, determined to beat level three.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
