You control a young monk who moves screen by screen, fighting through waves of enemy martial artists using a mix of punches, kicks, and special moves. The main goal is to advance through each stage, defeating bosses and rescuing your kidnapped master. Key mechanics include chaining combos to build power, performing screen-clearing special attacks once your meter is full, and timing jumps and dodges to avoid projectiles and environmental hazards. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can feel unforgiving, especially when enemies gang up on you or attack from off-screen.
