Game Overview

Fantasy World of Dizzy came out in 1991 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Codemasters. It was one of those side-scrolling adventure games that felt right at home on early PCs, where colorful sprites and simple controls were the norm. You play as Dizzy, an egg-shaped hero whose girlfriend has been kidnapped by trolls, and the whole world is built around that simple, urgent premise.

You guide Dizzy through a series of interconnected screens, pushing objects, collecting items like apples and keys, and solving environmental puzzles to progress. There’s no combat; instead, you focus on avoiding hazards and figuring out how to use what you find. The pacing is slow and deliberate, partly because the physics feel a little slippery and the puzzles can be obscure. Even with its cheerful presentation, the game demands patience and careful observation. Playing it feels like untangling a knot with your hands tied, but there’s a real satisfaction when things finally click.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
