Play Final Knockout (Japan) Online
Pick a boxer—some ripped, some not—and throw sluggish but satisfying punches until someone faceplants. It’s janky, floaty, and weirdly rewarding when you finally nail the timing.

Final Knockout (or Boxing Legends of the Ring, depending on where you played it) is one of those SNES boxing games that somehow feels both janky and weirdly satisfying. You pick a fighter—some look like they’ve been hitting the gym nonstop, others like they’ve been hitting the buffet—and then it’s straight into the ring. No fancy career mode, just punch your way through a tournament.
The controls take a minute to get used to—jabs feel sluggish at first, but once you figure out the timing, landing a solid uppercut has that old-school arcade crunch to it. The fighters all move like they’re underwater sometimes, but hey, it’s 16-bit boxing. What did you expect?
It’s not the deepest sports sim, but there’s something oddly fun about the exaggerated knockouts where your guy stumbles around like he just got hit by a truck. If you’re into retro sports games, this one’s worth a round or two.
