Play Fire & Ice Online
You play as a little fire sprite melting and freezing objects to solve puzzles—what starts simple gets brain-twistingly clever fast. Co-op turns it into a chaotic race to outsmart the levels together.

Game Overview
Fire & Ice is one of those MS-DOS games that somehow slipped under the radar back in the day, which is a shame because it's ridiculously clever. You control this tiny fire sprite—or ice sprite if you rope a friend into co-op—and the whole gimmick is switching objects between fire and ice states to solve puzzles. At first it seems simple, like "oh, melt this ice block to cross a gap," but then the game starts throwing curveballs where you're freezing flames to climb them or setting off chain reactions.
The pixel art has that bright, bouncy early '90s charm, and the music sticks in your head in the best way. Some of the later levels had me stuck for ages, but in that satisfying way where you finally figure it out and feel like a genius. Two-player mode gets properly chaotic too—nothing like accidentally freezing your buddy mid-jump to test a friendship.
If you dig puzzle-platformers with personality, this one's still worth digging up.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
