Fire & Ice came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Graftgold and published by Empire Software. You control a small fire spirit named Hot, tasked with navigating a series of icy caverns to rescue his frozen friends. Your main tool is the ability to melt or freeze blocks of ice, which you use to create paths, block enemies, or trigger switches. The game requires careful planning, as one wrong move can leave you trapped or force a restart. The difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding precise timing and foresight. Playing it feels like a constant, satisfying battle of wits against the environment itself.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
