Play First Mate: The Navigator Online
You start with a rickety ship and a vague map, battling storms and dwindling supplies while trying not to get hopelessly lost at sea—those blocky waves somehow make it more tense.

Game Overview
First Mate: The Navigator is one of those old MS-DOS games that somehow sticks with you. You start with this tiny ship, a basic map, and absolutely no idea where the good treasure spots are—just like real pirate life, minus the actual risk of drowning.
The controls are simple (arrow keys and a few commands), but the ocean doesn’t play fair. Storms pop up out of nowhere, your supplies dwindle faster than you’d think, and half the fun is realizing you’ve been sailing in circles because your navigation skills are, well, questionable. The graphics are pure 90s pixel charm—think jagged coastlines and blocky waves—but somehow that just adds to the adventure.
What I love is how it makes you feel like you’re actually figuring things out. No tutorials, no glowing waypoints—just you, a compass, and the occasional panic when you spot a reef too late. If you’ve got a soft spot for games that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a time capsule worth cracking open.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
