Play Flightmare Online
You pilot a janky little ship through a sky crammed with floating junk—dodge spinning blades and mines while the screen scrolls faster than you can handle. One wrong move and you're toast.

Flightmare came out in 1984 for MS-DOS, published by Classic Games and developed by Peter Adams. It was one of those early PC games that didn't try to be more than it was, just a straightforward arcade-style challenge that ran on the hardware people had at the time.
You control a small, triangular ship, navigating it through a vertically scrolling sky filled with obstacles like spinning blades, mines, and other floating debris. The main objective is simply to survive for as long as possible, racking up points by avoiding collisions. The screen scrolls downward at an increasing pace, forcing quick reactions, and the controls have a deliberate, slightly heavy feel that makes precise maneuvering a constant struggle. It feels tense and unforgiving, a pure test of reflexes where every second of survival feels earned.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
