Flintstones, The - Big Trouble In Bedrock is a side-scrolling action game for the GBA where you play as Fred and Barney. The first thing you notice is how stiff the controls feel—jumping and punching have this weird delay, like you're wading through tar. The backgrounds are colorful, at least, with that classic Flintstones charm.

I remember one level where you're running through a dinosaur construction site, dodging falling rocks and hopping across platforms. It sounds fun, but the hit detection is so wonky that half the time you take damage even when you swear you cleared the obstacle. The game tries to mix platforming with simple brawling, but neither part feels polished.

If you're a diehard Flintstones fan, you might get some nostalgia from the sprites and music. Otherwise, it's a pretty forgettable GBA title.
