You control Ed, a clumsy space janitor whose spilled mutagen has transformed a peaceful planet. Your goal is to clean up the mess by collecting canisters of the goo. Gameplay involves running and jumping through side-scrolling levels, avoiding environmental hazards like toxic spills and hostile mutated creatures. You use a plunger to attack enemies and interact with objects, and the exploration is broken into distinct, screen-by-screen areas. The pacing is deliberate, with some tricky jumps and enemy patterns that demand attention.
