Game Overview

So Trouble Shooter is this weirdly charming Sega Genesis action game where you play as Madison—basically a badass mercenary with a jetpack—and her tiny robot sidekick Crystal. The story’s goofy (evil genius kidnaps a prince, naturally), but the gameplay’s where it shines. You’re blasting through five levels of robots and traps, switching between Madison’s guns and Crystal’s weird little drone attacks on the fly.

First level throws you right into it: you’re dodging enemy fire while figuring out how to juggle both characters’ moves. Crystal’s surprisingly useful once you get the hang of her, though I kept forgetting to switch back to Madison when things got hairy. The jetpack controls take some getting used to, but nailing a mid-air dodge while raining bullets down never gets old.

It’s got that classic ‘90s arcade vibe—tough but fair, with just enough chaos to keep you retrying. And the soundtrack? Absolute banger. You’ll probably die a lot before reaching Blackball’s ridiculous floating fortress, but it’s the kind of game where you’ll grin through every explosion.
