Play Floatris Online
Guide bubble clusters down, nudge them to match colors, pop groups to clear space, and manage rising debris in this puzzle game from the early 90s.
Floatris was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it never had a major publisher or developer behind it. It was one of those simple, clever puzzle games that quietly made the rounds on floppy disks in the early 90s, a time when a novel twist on a familiar formula could still feel fresh.
You control the descent of bubble clusters, nudging them left or right to form groups of the same color. The main goal is to pop these groups before the screen fills, but the twist is that popped bubbles float upward instead of vanishing, clearing space below while adding pressure above. This creates a constant push and pull between managing the rising debris and setting up new chains. The pace is deceptively calm at first, but it accelerates sharply, demanding quick decisions and spatial foresight. It feels like juggling in slow motion until suddenly you're not.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
