Game Overview

Floor 13 came out in 1992 for MS-DOS, published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment. It was a different kind of game for its time, one that traded colorful graphics and action for a stark, menu-driven simulation of political power. You don't play a hero; you are the head of a secret government department tasked with protecting the Prime Minister's reputation by any means necessary.

You control the department's resources, ordering surveillance, blackmail, or "disappearances" of citizens who threaten the government's stability. The main objective is to keep public unrest low and your own job secure. Your primary tools are a series of stark, text-based menus; you analyze reports, allocate agents, and authorize extreme actions with a few clicks. The pacing is tense and deliberate, as a single misstep can lead to a public scandal or your own sudden termination. It feels like doing the most immoral paperwork imaginable, where every cold, logical choice has a human cost.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
