Play Fooblitzky Online
Navigate a chaotic grid, push blocks, dodge quirky enemies, and try to survive each screen in this bizarre puzzle game from 1985.
Fooblitzky came out in 1985 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Infocom. It was a strange little puzzle game from that era when developers were still figuring out what a computer game could be, often resulting in abstract, experimental titles that didn't fit neatly into any genre.
You control a small character on a grid, pushing blocks to clear a path while avoiding enemies like floating eyeballs and laughing mouths that teleport you unpredictably. The main goal is simply to survive each screen and progress, but the mechanics are deliberately chaotic; there are no clear rules or explanations, just trial and error. The pacing is frantic, and the difficulty spikes without warning, making each session feel like navigating a surreal, malfunctioning machine. Playing Fooblitzky feels like trying to solve a puzzle while someone keeps changing the pieces.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
