Play Fune Tarou Online
You’re a little wooden boat with a face, dodging rocks and grabbing drowning folks as the river gets faster—until you’re barely keeping up with the chaos.

Fune Tarou came out on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1997, developed by Pack-In-Video. It was a late release for the SNES, a time when many players were already moving on to newer consoles, so it felt like discovering a strange little title that almost slipped by unnoticed.
You control a small, personified wooden boat named Tarou, tasked with rescuing villagers who have fallen into a rushing river. The main objective is to navigate from the top of the screen to the bottom, carefully avoiding rocks and other obstacles while scooping up as many people as you can. The river's current constantly pushes you forward, and the speed increases relentlessly, demanding quick reflexes to dodge hazards and position yourself for rescues. It's a simple concept that becomes intensely difficult, creating a feeling of controlled panic as you fight the current to save everyone. The experience is a tense, focused battle against the water itself.
