Game Overview

Galactic Empire throws you into the boots of Ted Fost, a reporter who’s actually a spy for the empire—and Ether, the planet you’re stuck on, is a mess. Voltar’s militia took over, the old government’s gone, and everyone’s either fighting or hiding. Your job? Figure out who’s on your side, who isn’t, and why the last agent vanished after muttering something about "the Malkouts."

It’s weirdly half shooter, half adventure game. You’ve got guns (lots of them), but running in blasting usually ends badly. Instead, you talk to people—using this oddball emotion-based dialogue system where you pick responses based on tone, not just words. Some NPCs will help if you’re nice, others need a threat or two. And between shootouts, there are actual puzzles to solve, like how to get past a checkpoint without getting your cover blown.

First ten minutes? You’re sneaking through a market, listening to rumors, then suddenly ducking into an alley because a patrol spotted you. The Amiga’s chunky graphics somehow make the whole thing feel grimier, like you’re really some undercover agent in over your head. Just don’t expect to win any fights without thinking first.
