Galactic Warrior Rats came out in 1992 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Krisalis Software. It was a product of its time, a side-scrolling action game that fit right in with the era's appetite for fast-paced, sprite-based combat and science fiction themes. You didn't get a lot of story; you just got a mission and a lot of things to shoot.

You control one of several warrior rats, each armed with a large, powerful gun, and your goal is to fight through a series of side-scrolling levels to defeat an evil emperor. The gameplay involves running and jumping across platforms while shooting a variety of enemy robots and creatures. You collect power-ups to enhance your weapon and health items to stay alive. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is unforgiving, with enemies swarming from all directions. It feels like a frantic, chaotic scramble where survival depends on quick reflexes and constant movement.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
