Play Ganbare Goemon - Yuki Hime Kyuushutsu Emaki (Japan) (Rev B) Online
You slide around icy castles as Goemon, chucking coins at snowball gangs and hopping into a giant mech when things get hairy—all while sumo wrestlers ride floating radishes at you. It’s ridiculous in the best SNES way.

Game Overview
Ganbare Goemon: Yuki Hime Kyuushutsu Emaki is one of those SNES games that feels like it snuck in from an alternate universe where feudal Japan had giant robots and slapstick humor. You play as Goemon—blue hair, pipe-smoking, casually throwing coins at enemies—or his rounder, clumsier buddy Ebisumaru. The whole thing kicks off with rescuing Princess Yuki, which somehow involves sliding across ice patches, dodging snowball-throwing goons, and occasionally hopping into a massive mech to punch things.
The first ten minutes are pure chaos in the best way. You’ll be laughing at the weird enemy designs (one boss is just a sumo wrestler on a giant floating... radish?), then immediately get tripped up by the slippery ice physics. There’s a rhythm to it—run, jump, toss coins, repeat—but the levels throw in curveballs like sudden mini-games or sections where you ride a minecart through a snowstorm. The pixel art pops with color, and the soundtrack’s got this shamisen-heavy vibe that somehow works perfectly when you’re fighting a yeti in a kimono.
It’s not the longest game, but every stage feels packed with little surprises. If you’ve got a soft spot for quirky retro action, this one’s a blast.
