The whole thing has this goofy Edo-period vibe, but with snow everywhere and these bizarre little details (like enemies throwing fish at you) that make it impossible not to smile.

The snow levels change up how you move—sliding down slopes feels oddly satisfying, especially when you nail a tricky jump at the last second. And yeah, it’s got that classic "rescue the princess" setup, but the way everything unfolds is just... different. One minute you’re platforming through a village, the next you’re riding a giant robot (because of course you are). If you’ve played any of the Mystical Ninja games, you’ll recognize the humor right away. It’s the kind of game where you’ll get stuck on a puzzle, take a break, and then suddenly yell "OH, THAT’S HOW YOU DO IT" when the solution hits you.

Honestly, it’s a shame more people haven’t played this one. The colors pop, the music’s catchy, and there’s something weirdly charming about how unapologetically Japanese it all feels. Just don’t be surprised if you start craving mochi after a few levels.
