Game Overview

GBA Championship Basketball: Two-on-Two came out in 1986 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Gamestar. It was a straightforward sports title for its time, fitting right in with the era's growing interest in bringing arcade-style competition to home computers without a lot of frills or complex presentation.

You control a pair of basketball players, moving them up and down a single-screen court against another duo. The main goal is simple: outscore your opponent before time runs out. Key mechanics include stealing the ball with well-timed button presses, passing between your two players to break defenses, and driving for a layup or a jump shot. The pacing is quick, almost frantic, especially once the CPU starts moving the ball around, and the difficulty can spike sharply if you're not paying attention. It feels responsive and sharp when your steals connect and your shots drop, making even short matches tense and rewarding.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
