Gemfire came out in 1992 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Koei. You take control of a lord, one of several vying for the throne of a fractured kingdom. The main goal is to conquer all the castles on the map, which you achieve by moving armies between territories, engaging in tactical battles, and managing resources like gold and food.
