Glory of Heracles on the DS is one of those RPGs that sneaks up on you—starts off feeling like a pretty standard turn-based adventure, but then the Greek mythology stuff really kicks in. You wake up with no memory (classic RPG move), but instead of the usual fantasy setting, you're immediately fighting harpies and chatting with gods who act like they know you.
The battles are solid—not too complicated, but with enough little tweaks to keep you thinking. There's this cool "immortal" mechanic where your party can revive mid-fight if you play it right. And the writing? Surprisingly funny at times, especially when Hermes shows up being all sarcastic while you're just trying to figure out why centaurs are attacking you.
It's not the flashiest DS RPG out there, but there's something charming about how it blends classic JRPG vibes with all the weirdness of Greek myths. By the time you're arguing with Athena about whether you're actually Heracles, you'll either be totally into it or very confused—maybe both.
