Gobliiins came out in 1991 for MS-DOS, developed by Coktel Vision. It was part of that wave of point-and-click adventures that relied on clever puzzles and a distinct visual style rather than fast action or complex stories. The game stood out because of its oddball humor and the way it made you think in completely unexpected directions.
You control three goblins, each with a unique skill: one is strong, one is clever with tools, and one just interacts with objects in silly ways. Your goal is to guide them through a series of self-contained screens, solving environmental puzzles to progress. The gameplay involves a lot of experimenting, combining items, and using each character's ability in the right place. It's deliberately slow and often quite difficult, with solutions that are logical only in the game's own bizarre world. Figuring it out feels like untangling a wonderfully absurd knot.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
