Game Overview

Gobman (demo) came out in 1982 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Sydney Development Corporation. It was one of those early maze-chase games that felt right at home on the platform, a straightforward concept built for the hardware of the time without a lot of extra fuss.

You control a small green character, Gobman, navigating a maze to collect all the dots while avoiding monsters that relentlessly pursue you. The main objective is to clear each screen of dots to advance, and key mechanics include grabbing power-ups that temporarily let you turn the tables and chase the monsters, along with using the maze's narrow passages to outmaneuver your foes. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty ramps up noticeably as the monsters get faster and more aggressive in later levels. It feels tense and frantic, especially when you're cornered with nowhere to run.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
