Game Overview

Golden Sun (I) starts slow, with Isaac leaving his quiet village to chase thieves who stole these elemental stones. The first hour is mostly walking through forests and caves, getting used to the psynergy puzzles—moving pillars, lighting torches, that kind of thing.

The djinni system is what makes it interesting. You find these little creatures hiding in random spots, and each one tweaks your stats or unlocks new spells. I remember stumbling on one in a desert town, buried under a pile of crates. Felt like a real discovery.

Battles can drag if you're underleveled, but the spell animations are flashy for a GBA game. Watching boulders crush enemies never gets old. Golden Sun (I) has that classic JRPG feel—simple story, but the world pulls you in anyway.
