You control Isaac, a young adept with the power of Psynergy, and lead a small party across the world of Weyard. Your main goal is to prevent the ancient power of Alchemy from being unleashed recklessly, which involves tracking down elemental stars and confronting the rival party trying to activate them. Exploration is screen by screen, with Psynergy abilities like Move and Mind Read used to solve environmental puzzles and access hidden areas. Combat is turn based, but the strategic depth comes from collecting and assigning Djinn, which change your class and allow for powerful summons. The pacing is deliberate, with dungeons that require careful observation, and the difficulty can spike during certain boss fights. It feels like a thoughtful, hands on adventure where your choices in building the party directly shape every encounter.
