Play Great Baseball Online
Pick Boston, hurl fastballs till your pitcher’s arm falls off, and pray your buddy doesn’t laugh when you whiff an easy catch. That crack of a perfect hit never gets old.

Great Baseball came out for the Sega Master System in 1987, developed and published by Sega. It was one of the earlier baseball games on the system, arriving at a time when sports simulations were still finding their footing in home consoles. It didn't try to be the most realistic, but it offered a solid, straightforward take on the sport.
You control the entire team, fielding and batting through a full nine innings. The main goal is to outscore your opponent, either against the computer or a friend. Pitching involves selecting a type of throw and timing the meter for speed and placement. Batting requires you to judge the pitch and swing at the right moment, with contact feeling satisfying when you connect. The game moves at a brisk pace, and while the fielding can be a bit simple, misjudging a fly ball is an easy way to give up a run. It feels like a quick, no-fuss game of baseball you can pick up and play without much fuss.
