H₂O is one of those weird little MS-DOS games that sticks with you—mostly because you can't decide if it's brilliant or just messing with you. You control this chunky pixel dude navigating abstract levels where water physics make or break everything. Sometimes you're redirecting flows to open doors, other times you're desperately trying not to drown your own character. It shouldn't be as tense as it is.
The first few levels trick you into thinking it's simple, then suddenly you're staring at the screen like, "Wait, if I spill water here, does that platform rise or disappear?" The whole thing has this dreamlike, slightly unsettling vibe, like playing a puzzle game designed by an alien who really likes plumbing. And somehow, that's the charm.
It's the kind of game where you fail a level six times, finally solve it, and immediately want to show someone else just to see their face when they realize what they've gotten into. Perfect for when you're sick of modern games holding your hand.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
