Play Hammer Boy Online
Swing a comically oversized hammer to knock warriors off a tower—it’s janky, chaotic, and weirdly satisfying when bodies go flying. That chunky pixel art and ragdoll physics make every hit feel stupidly fun.

Hammer Boy came out in 1991 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Dinamic Software. It was one of those oddball platformers from the era that didn't try to be epic or groundbreaking, just straightforward and a little bit silly. You control a kid with a hammer that's way too big for him, and the goal is simple: climb a tower by knocking enemies off each screen.
You move from one static screen to the next, timing your swings to hit knights and other foes before they get to you. The hammer has a satisfying heft to it; connect with an enemy and they go tumbling off the edge with exaggerated physics. It's not a complex game—there's no elaborate level design or deep mechanics, just repetitive, screen-by-screen combat. The difficulty comes from the timing and spacing of your attacks, since mistiming a swing usually means taking a hit and falling yourself. Playing it feels like a goofy, low-stakes brawl where the main joy comes from sending pixelated knights flying.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
