You control a single hockey player on the ice, skating around and trying to score goals against the opposing team. The main objective is to win each match by outscoring your opponent, either against the computer or a friend. Signature mechanics include the ability to perform a powerful slap shot that sends the puck flying, and the goalies have these exaggerated, almost comical diving animations to try and stop it. The game moves at a brisk pace, and the difficulty can spike pretty quickly against the AI, making each successful goal feel like a genuine accomplishment.
