Heavy Metal came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Access Software. You control a futuristic combat car, navigating through a series of interconnected overhead-view maps. The main objective is to hunt down and destroy an enemy command center on each level, all while fending off waves of opposing vehicles and turrets. Signature mechanics include collecting power-ups to upgrade your weapons, from rapid-fire guns to homing missiles, and managing your limited fuel and ammunition to avoid being stranded. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
