Game Overview

Playing Home Alone 2 on Game Boy feels like digging up a time capsule from 1992—complete with chunky pixels and that unmistakable holiday chaos. You're Kevin again, but instead of booby-trapping your house, you're scrambling through New York dodging Marv and Harry (who somehow got even dumber). The controls are stiff by today's standards, but there's something weirdly satisfying about dropping a paint can on their heads or watching them faceplant into your toy car traps.

The levels are basically a tour of movie moments—Central Park, the Plaza Hotel, even that creepy abandoned house. Graphics are what you'd expect from a Game Boy port, but the little details (like Marv's yelp when he steps on a nail) sell it. Honestly, half the fun comes from how janky it is. Tarantulas still give me the creeps though.

It won't win any awards for depth, but if you grew up with the movie or just love weird licensed games, it's a nostalgia trip worth taking. Just don't expect tight platforming.
