Game Overview

Horké léto came out in 1998 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, published by JRC Interactive. It was one of those late-era DOS titles that felt a bit like a throwback even at the time, built for an audience that still appreciated text-heavy adventures with simple graphics. The game drops you on a tropical island with a premise that’s straightforward but quickly gets weird.

You control a young man stranded after a plane crash, clicking through environments screen by screen while talking to the locals, who all seem to be voiced by the same slightly unhinged actor. Your main goal is to survive and find a way off the island, which involves solving inventory-based puzzles, engaging in awkward dialogue trees, and occasionally avoiding danger. The pacing is slow, almost methodical, and the difficulty comes from the obscure logic behind some puzzles. It feels like stumbling through a strange, low-budget play where every interaction is just a little off.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
