Hyper Olympic (J) is one of those old NES games that makes your thumbs hurt after a while. It's a button-mashing sports sim where you hammer the controller to sprint, jump, or throw—no finesse, just speed.
The first event is always the 100m dash, and it feels impossible until you realize you're supposed to destroy the A button rather than time your presses. The pole vault is worse—timing matters there, but good luck figuring it out before your guy faceplants into the bar.
It's rough around the edges, but there's something satisfying about finally nailing an event after failing ten times in a row. Hyper Olympic (J) doesn't hold your hand, and that's kind of the point.
