Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs on the Nintendo DS came out in 2009, published by Activision. It was one of those licensed platformers that felt pretty common on the DS at the time, a straightforward adaptation of the movie that didn't try to reinvent the wheel. You got to jump into the world right as the herd discovers a hidden jungle beneath the ice, which was a neat setup for some variety in the levels.

You control different characters like Sid, Manny, and Diego, each with their own abilities. Sid is lighter and can climb certain vines, while Manny uses his strength to break through barriers. The goal is to rescue Sid after he gets carried off by a female T-Rex, which means working through side-scrolling stages, solving simple environmental puzzles, and collecting crystals. There are also these mini-game segments where you guide Scrat through chaotic stages chasing his acorn. The pacing is decent, though some sections can feel a bit repetitive. It's not a particularly hard game, more about relaxed exploration than tough challenges. Playing it feels like a comfortable, familiar trip back to the movie's world.
