International Ninja Rabbits came out in 1991 for MS-DOS, published by MicroValue. It was part of that wave of early 90s platformers where developers were still figuring out what worked, and you got a lot of games with strange premises and rough edges. This one definitely fits that description.
You control a rabbit ninja armed with a bo staff, moving screen by screen through levels set in Japan, England, and the United States. Your goal is to rescue other rabbit ninjas captured by an evil organization. You jump across platforms, whack enemies with your staff, and avoid hazards like birds, dragons, and instant-death pits. The pacing is fast and the difficulty is unforgiving, with precise jumps and quick reactions needed to progress. It feels chaotic and a little janky, but there's a strange charm in pushing through the frustration.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
