Play Jerry Glanville Pigskin Footbraw Online

Ditch the playbook—this is football where you sucker punch opponents mid-play, swing lead pipes, and drop anvils while the ball’s still in play. Pure ‘90s chaos with pixelated blood and celebrations cranked to 11.

Game Overview

Jerry Glanville Pigskin Footbraw came out for the Sega Genesis in 1990, published by Tradewest. It was one of those games that stood out on the shelf, a strange mix of football and a street brawl that felt very much of its time, when developers were willing to try anything. You didn't see many games like it, even back then.

You control a team of football players whose main goal is to get the ball into the endzone, but the real objective is to beat the tar out of the other team along the way. Signature mechanics include picking up weapons like lead pipes and anvils from the field to swing at opponents, and initiating fights that pause the actual football play entirely. The pacing is frantic and deliberately messy, with the difficulty coming more from the constant brawling than from any complex plays. It feels like playing a cartoon bar fight that someone accidentally scheduled during a football game.
